  3. M1GC Crew Specific rules and Guidelines The M1-Gaming Crew's Code of Conduct is the face of our clan. Not only is it a guideline for member conduct, it is also a statement about what kind of gamers we are, and who we're looking for. All members agree to the Code of Conduct upon being accepted into the clan, and are expected to uphold the code at all times. Our code ensures that our members conduct themselves respectfully and preserve the respected image of the clan. Violation of the Code of Conduct can result in removal from M1GC. Strive to conduct ourselves in an appropriate manner: Do not accuse other players/clans of hacking or tell them they suck. Do not talk trash when winning or losing. Do not TK on purpose. If you hate it being done to you, don't do it to others. Offer help to anyone who seeks it, if it is possible: Never be too busy to help another member with an issue they have. Don't condemn others for not knowing what you know. If you know how to fix a problem, do not tell them to go find someone else because you don't want to be bothered. Project a positive image of yourself and the M1GC clan to others: Similar to #1. Don't call people hackers. Don't say "you suck". Don't freak out about not being backed up by your squad members or team. People judge an entire group based on the actions of what ONE person does. If you are being obnoxious, those pubs assume all of M1GC is obnoxious. Put the needs of the clan first, above personal goals: If we need people for practice, or to help start a server, or help with a special task, stop playing and come help us. If we need help figure something out for vehicle maneuvering or unusual uses for game equipment, stop playing and help us. M1GC benefits from everyone being a part of what we do here. Support members of M1GC: If someone isn't up to par with a kit or weapon you know very well. Help them. Don't just let them continue to get slaughtered. Extend any knowledge of anything you are aware of to your fellow members. That helps ALL of us when it comes time to back each other up on the battlefield. Attempt to resolve personal differences directly with the concerned individual(s): If someone is annoying you or you don't agree with what someone did or how they are acting, let them know. They can't correct things if they don't know what they are doing wrong. Do not yell at them in a TS room full of other people. Be tactful and respectful. Ask them to join another channel or use Teamspeak's private chat function to inform that person of what is going on and how to possibly fix it. If the situation escalates into something that it shouldn't, SIGN OFF Teamspeak. Take a breather. Don't let something stupid get 2 members kicked from M1GC. WORK IT OUT PEACEFULLY. Remind other M1GC members of expected conduct in a tactful, non- threatening way, and if possible, in private: If this needs to be explained after previous rules, you probably don't belong in M1GC. Promote fellowship within the game community: Be respectful to pubs and offer assistance. If you notice someone that doesn't know how to use a weapon or similar piece of equipment, HELP THEM OUT. Don't just write them off as idiots. Today's PUG is tomorrow's full member. Without them, we limit ourselves. Help them and they will flock to us. Which in turn helps M1GC grow. Do not condemn or humiliate other clan members: If you need this rule to be explained, you don't belong in M1GC. Win and lose games honorably, show sportsmanship: Don't bitch about snipers not helping you win. Don't call people hackers. Don't tell the medics they suck because they aren't reviving. Simply say GG, tell someone they did a good job, or don't say anything at all. Maintain M1GC loyalty: Don't talk smack behind our back. If you are not happy in M1GC, let us know. Don't stay here if its not where you belong. No jokes or comments about a members religion, accent, skin color, or sexual preferences.: It is never okay to comment or joke about a members race, religion, or sexual preference. This goes for Teamspeak chat or comments and also forum posts. Please remember that M1GC is a large community consisting of all sorts of people. No violations of the GAMES TOS is permitted by any clan member on any server authorized by ANY GAME.: This includes, but not limited to, glitching, stat padding, taking turns killing/reviving, arming and disarming COMS, etc. This rule especially applies to using login credentials to allow another member to use your account for any reason. This applies in ALL servers, across all games that M1GC supports whether our or Servers we play on. Actions M1GC members should NEVER do: Do NOT go into the server to make other people rage quit. Do NOT troll the players on our server or any other in any way, shape or form. Do NOT feed a flame troll. Do NOT be disrespectful in game chat. You can speak up for yourself, just keep it classy. Engage flamers with witty and clever responses. Do NOT purposefully TK anyone. Jumping out of moving vehicles and letting them smack into team mates, jumping out of choppers you are piloting, etc etc... Servers: Our servers are the heart of our Crew. It is where we find most of our recruits, it is where we play together and they are M1GC's crowning achievment in the Battlefield. All members will support their clans servers. If they need to be started, members are expected to drop what they are doing and get in there as soon as possible. A members first thought should be to the servers and their well being. If this Crews servers fail, so does the Crew. Multi-Clanning: Members can be in multiple clans but cannot abandoned our clan or be in a clan that offers a game that M1GC supports as a Crew. Members have a choice to either leave the other clan(s) or leave M1GC. Clan tags: All members are to wear M1GC tags when playing games that M1GC supports. If you take off M1GC tags, you quit M1GC. In BF4, if you leave the in game platoon, You have left M1GC. Members wear M1GC tags only. That means in their names as well. Tags that have been incorporated into a players game name will not be tolerated. Smurfing: (Described as playing multiple Names) BF4 members are not allowed to smurf. You may have multiple accounts, but you must let us know about them. Clan tags are to be worn on all smurf accounts. Behavior: No political, religious, or racial discussions. Be respectful to ALL. Whining and Complaining: Do not whine and complain about the game that we are playing. It takes the mood in Teamspeak down and is counter intuitive to what we are all here for. Play the game that we are given, not the one that you want it to be. Work around the limitations that are thrown at you and you will become a better player. Constant whining in the Teamspeak channels will not be tolerated. Member Activity: All members are expected to take part in the Crew. This means playing in the servers, being in TS and taking part in the forums. This is the bare minimum that a member must do to keep their membership. M1GC does not collect membership fee's, it does not tell anyone how their game should be played or how good they should be at it. All that is required is participation. M1GC does not want members for the sake of having members. People who merely want to wear the tags for the tags sake will not be here for long.
  4. We do house cleanings of our Crew Structure every month or so. We remove people from the clan for inactivity at these times. If you have been removed and have lost your member status in the discord or forums, do not fret. Get in touch with us via PM here in the forums and we'll see about getting you back into the clan. Returning to your old rank is not guaranteed, depending on how long you have been gone and who speaks up for you. But all former members who have left or been removed are welcome back. Please do not make a habit of becoming inactive and then rejoining. It takes time and effort to get you squared away each time you go inactive. Time our volunteer staff could be using to play games in. If you are going to go away for a while for whatever reason, put in for a leave of absence. It is very easy to do. Repeat offenders risk being turned away.
  5. Please read all the topics in this forum, to better understand what being an M1-Gaming Crew member is all about. The following will get you started: As a member of clan M1GC, you will be expected to obtain and set up certain programs for your computer. Additionally, there are a few requirements that you must be able to meet in order for you to remain in good standing as a member. You MUST have Discord and a Microphone. Discord is a program used for voice communication with other members during a game. We also use Discord during our Crew meetings. While playing in game you must be on Discord. You MUST be able to READ and POST on our forums, as such, you should be prepared to read and post to the forums daily. The forums are used to notify members of meetings, clan matches, and other important information. So you must be prepared to put the time into the forums. As you will see, a week's worth of posts take a LONG time to go through; Checking once per day takes about 10 to 30 minutes, depending on how many posts you read and reply to. It is understood that you may not be able to check every day, due to family obligations, school, etc.; however, every effort should be made to check the forums. Members who are absent from the forums for more than two months are subject to removal without notice. The most important requirement we have is that you MUST AGREE TO ABIDE BY OUR CODE OF CONDUCT. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE. We are an honorable clan, and take our Code of Conduct VERY seriously. If you do become a member, and are repeatedly found in violation of the Code, you WILL be EXPELLED from the clan/crew. We do not cheat, hack, glitch, or do/use anything that would give ourselves an unfair advantage in any multiplayer environment. Join M1-Gaming Crew with these things in mind, or you will leave quickly. We play on our own servers. All members are expected to support our servers. This means that members will required to rally to the servers when they crash or are for some reason under populated. . They are U.S. East Coast servers. M1GC fosters a calm and mature gaming environment. Confrontation and drama are frowned upon here and in public forums. We accept people of all ages, but they must behave maturely when here. If there is a problem with your behaviour, you may be taken aside and spoken to about it. Don't take this the wrong way, your recruiter or Sergeant is trying to help you fit in here. M1GC is not a Mil-Sim, but the ranking structure is to be respected. Ranks and above are given for a reason, please make efforts to do as anyone with these ranks asks. If there is a problem with the request or you feel someone is being abusive or unreasonable, step your complaint up to the next rank. Do not go right to the top with your requests/complaints. We want all our members to feel comfortable here, so your concerns will be taken seriously. M1GC is a straight up, old school clan. We are just here to play for fun and kick some ass. We don't spy on, or troll other clans. We like to show what we are made of in-game, not by being sneaky or underhanded out of game. If you are here to give us information on your old clan, we are not interested in other peoples business. If you are here to spy on us, well, we hope that you learn how to have genuine fun one day that doesn't come at others expense.
  6. How and when to make a Leave Of Absence Anyone can put in for an LOA at any time. Leave's of Absence are for members who are going to be away from the clan for three weeks or more. It is a good idea to put in for an LOA rather than just going MIA. We do periodic removals of members who are showing no signs of activity in the forums, Discord and in game. Not Necessarily in that order. Members who do not put in an LOA and get caught up in the removals are of course removed from the clubs. They are welcome to come back whenever they are able to, but will start out as recruits again and will be required to put in a new application. Reason's for valid LOA's are as follows: Medical Military Traveling School Family Other reasons will be considered on a case by case basis, but these are the main ones. All LOA's must have an end day. Open ended LOA's are not accepted. Unacceptable reasons for an LOA include: "I'm bored of this game, I'll be back when the update comes out." "I'm joining another clan, but I want to stay with M1GC just in case things don't work out." "M1GC doesn't have any games supported that I want to play." Other unacceptable LOA's will be made apparent to members as they arise. Members who allow their LOA's to run out and then fail to show up in Discord or in the forums will be removed at the next round of inactivity removals. LOA's that expire will be marked as such and will be deleted when you are removed for inactivity. How to make an LOA request: Read the rules for posting above. Head over to the LOD - Division Structure of your game Reply to the thread and make a new post in this format: "LOA - Forum Name {ED: LOA End Date}" Date LOA ends should be like as follows: {EX: DD Month YYYY} or {Month YYYY}. Example: {22nd February 2017} OR {End of February 2017} Put the reason for the LOA in the post and Post your profile link. After you have made your request, one of the officers will either accept or deny your request That LOA will be added to the division structure. Example shown below
  7. Crew Specific rules and Guidelines Clan Tags All members are to wear [M1GC] tags when playing games that M1GC supports at all times. If you take off M1GC tags, you quit M1GC. You will be removed from M1GC. Member Activity All members are expected to take part in the Crew. This means playing in matches together, being in Discord and taking part in the forums. The bare minimum of requirements would be to do your absolutely best to be active every 1-2 weeks on the forums and Discord. If you are inactive for 4 weeks or more you will be flagged for removal and message on the forums or Discord. Depending on your response or no response you will be removed for inactivity. At 45 days of inactivity you will be removed for inactivity. Actions M1GC members should NEVER do! Do NOT go into a match, planning on Rage quitting or quitting in general. Do NOT go into a match to make other people rage quit (Including M1GC). Do NOT troll the players in matches or any other way shape or form! Do NOT feed a flame troll or any troll for that matter! Do NOT be disrespectful in game chat. You can speak up for yourself, just keep it classy. Do NOT purposefully TK anyone. If you accidentally frag/shoot someone, make sure you apologize. Never do it on purpose during an actual game. Do NOT Teamkill or Loot any M1GC members! Do NOT Use any kind of hacking programmes or exploit glitches in any way. Infractions of any of these rules may result in rank demotion and/or removal from M1GC. Please do your best to heed these rules and then we can all just get back to having fun.
  8. Multi-clanning and Discord Rules Rules and Guidelines Multi-claning Discord Speak rules and etiquette. Your Discord name should ALWAYS match your forum name. When playing any M1GC supported games, members MUST be on Discord regardless of what server they are currently playing on. Removal from M1GC will follow with two or three infractions of this rule. If asked about it, remain calm and either apologize or explain the situation. Do not be rude to whomever is inquiring. When you first join any channel, please wait 5/10 seconds before talking to ensure you're not talking over anyone. Especially if you're entering a squad room. Talking over other members should not be happening, rather than shouting over one another please respect your fellow club members. If you're going AFK for over 5 minutes, Going AFK in any of the Squad rooms will automatically move you to the AFK Channel. Please remember to always follow COC within Discord, especially #12 - No comments about politics, religion, skin color, or sexual preferences. Push to talk Keys are required for x3 or more voice connected users. no auto voice activating mic's. Do not invite members from other clans into clubs or into our Discord to avoid cheating. Player names All members must keep their Discord name to match their forum name exactly. In-Game names must be similar to their Forum Name so we can identify people. Discord Rule - M1GC is a vocal community, we use Discord as the main line of communication. It is required that you be in Discord if you are playing any game that M1GC supports as a club. Once on that page scroll down to the different forums, they will always be up to date. You may also check Discord out for current list of all games we play and support in the future. What does support mean you ask? Simple, it means we have a club for this particular game, which entails forums and Discord channels. All members participating in that game are expected to wear M1GC tags and be registered with whatever guilds or clans that we have in that game. Regardless of whether they are in a different club from that game or not. Loyalty to M1GC means that you help out with the games that we play in. M1GC has separate clubs for separate games, but we are all part of one clan. Unsupported means we play up in the top lobby with other's from all other divisions, more of a side game than anything. Members are not expected to wear tags for these games or be in Discord for them. They may also join a different clan or guild for unsupported games. Also, we enforce a Push-to-Talk rule in most clubs as a common courtesy. With Voice Activation unwanted sounds such as sneezing, kids, or dogs barking comes through Discord, but with Push-to-Talk we can avoid that.

[M1GC] is a community and is only valuable when our members are engaged and have enjoyable shared experiences. That isn't possible if our membership has strong competing interests elsewhere. If you want to invest time with other groups, we respect that, but require that you respect our rules or honorably excuse yourself.
